Kingdom Leaders for Such a Time

We live in turbulent times with global problems on an unprecedented scale. These issues include: economic collapse, climatic changes, clashes of ideology and religion, ethnic/racial genocide, and justice or equality concerns. The world collectively and as individuals is looking for answers – authentic answers.

God’s destiny for the human race since the Garden of Eden was to bring people into relationship with Him, and then through that relationship to bring solutions to earth and mankind (Genesis 1:26-28; 2:7, 19). God is looking for partners – Kingdom Leaders – who know Him and His ways, hear His voice clearly, and co-create with Him to craft supernatural answers to the world’s problems. Just as God raised up Esther, Deborah, Daniel, and Joseph in the midst of ungodly cultures to be strategic leaders “for such a time,” so He is looking for a company of believers who will answer the call to transform themselves and society in our age. The world desperately needs the answers God will bring through you. God longs to transform you to be like Jesus and teach you to see the kingdom of God, so you can transform culture. What an awesome privilege!

But how can we perceive God’s will and desired future? Isaiah 43:19 exhorts us to perceive the new thing that God is doing. This article proposes Theory U+ as a process to see God’s desired future and then backcast to the present in partnership with God to find solutions.

The question of the hour is who has answers to complex global issues? Think tanks, the federal government, universities, corporations, and individuals are racing to find solutions.

Kingdom Leaders is a framework marinating in me since 1997. The concept of the seven mountains, mind molders, or spheres of influence is evident in many ministries. When I researched the words four years ago not much was available on the Internet. Now it is in many places. I believe God has brought forth this concept “for such a time as this.” Why? I believe there are two reasons.

• The world does not have answers to the complex, global issues that are haunting us. God has answers, but the origin of His ideas is not from the natural or earthly realm. They originate in the Kingdom of God. Thus the ability to see into the Kingdom of God and then partner with God through the whole process is imperative.
• The Bride of Christ is becoming more mature. She is allowing God to deal with her wrinkles and blemishes to be ready for Jesus. Individual believers are also coming into an understanding of their rich inheritance as the adopted sons of God. As a result believers are yielding their agendas and programs to God.

Part of what I offer is a way to take the concept of Kingdom Leaders and make it practical for believers to understand and then implement it in their sphere of influence while having fun in the process. After all the joy of the Lord is our strength in these times.
