Past Seminars and Teachings
Learning with God at The Gate DC (2007). This teaching introduced the concept of using creativity to imagine new futures and solutions with God. The ability to reframe current situations is to develop spiritual eyes to see and then work with God towards new realities.
Futurescape for The Gate DC (2007). This strategic foresight seminar presented four scenarios of possible futures and how The Gate could effectively play in each of the scenarios. This involved four teams working through the scenarios and presenting their results to the whole group.
Sitting in Heavenly Places at The Gate DC (2008). This teaching included creativity exercises to imagine and think about what it means for us as Christians to be seated in heavenly places and then the implications to our lives.
Releasing Creativity with small group (2008). This teaching and exercise was designed to activate believers from passivity to actively engage their creativity to solve problems by becoming co-creators with God.
Freedom in God’s Love at Christian Love Baptist Church’s Women’s Conference (2008). This teaching and exercise activates women to experience God’s love and actively hear His voice and see the kingdom.
Transformation and Matthew 13 at Regent University (2008). Presented a paper on Jesus’ use of the parables to surprise His hearers/readers into seeing a different view point of themselves and the Kingdom of Heaven. The story and His probing questions became catalysts to initiate transformation in their lives. Theory U is expanded to Theory U+ to listen to God.
Spiritual Research on Colorado Springs (1999). This team effort researched the spiritual roots of Colorado Springs, led prayer projects, and provided a report for the International Prayer Centre.
Keys to Spiritual Research at YWAM’s University of the Nations, Restenäs, Sweden (1997). Teaching to over 100 students and mentoring teams who were doing research projects on the seven spheres of influence (mind molders).
Eugene Prayer Walks (1996). This team effort was led by Deborah. The content was based on prayer and library research which resulted in a booklet to raise the level of prayer in Eugene, OR. It was geared around the seven spheres of influence and historical roots of the area.
